With a long history of wildland firefighting and prevention, The Swannanoa Fire Department is proud to announce our Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
This plan is primarily in conjunction with the North Carolina Forest Service, US Forest Service and the Bureau of Land Management.
The building of the plan has consumed many hours, meetings and countless days of field & GIS work. We would especially like to thank Patrick Nichols, Asst. CWPP coordinator for NCFS, for his expertise, effort and leadership while building the plan and we look forward to working with him as the plan is implemented.

What can this plan do for you? Resources are available to improve and better protect yourself, your home, your land and even your neighbors. Contact me for additional info.
